  • Mountain Bikes - with wide tires and 8+ speeds, in excellent working condition
  • Towels - hand and bath towels, washcloths, new or nearly new, in dark colors
  • Sleeping bags and blankets - new or gently used
  • Hooded sweatshirts - black, gray, dark blue, or green, size medium or large
  • Vests and jackets - fleece, for cold weather, size medium through extra large
  • Socks - black tube or sweat socks
  • Toiletries - combs, deodorant, disposable razors, toothbrushes, toothpaste; bars of soap, family size, Zest or Palmolive
  • Snacks - microwave popcorn, 100% fruit juice boxes, Kirkland sport drink

Literacy programs such as ESL classes for Moms, intermediate Spanish classes, citizenship classes and a learning center open to the public several hours a week; Story Time for pre-school children.


Community building activities, such as conversational classes for new Spanish learners led by local Spanish-speakers as well as opportunities for development of small, local businesses.
